Nick Armstrong

Chief Executive Officer

Nick Armstrong is CEO of Identitii having co-founded the company in 2014. He has grown it from start-up to its position today as a multi-award winning, ASX listed FinTech. Nick is an experienced technology entrepreneur, having previously founded and run EnergyLink (formerly COzero), an energy & emissions trading company with cloud-based energy management software and Greentricity, a renewable energy provider acquired by AGL. Nick was an early proponent of blockchain and has been at the forefront of developing some of the most successful use cases for the technology in the financial markets today.

Ben Buckingham

Chief Operating Officer

Ben Buckingham is Identitii’s Chief Operating Officer. Ben has a strong background in advising companies at various stages of growth, having started his career as a banking and finance lawyer before moving over to management consultancy McKinsey and Company. Ben has overseen Identitii’s rapid expansion to date and is responsible for supporting its growing global customer base.

Margarita Claringbold

Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary

Margarita is Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary at Identitii. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 20 years’ experience. Margarita has held senior finance leadership roles at ASX listed top 100 companies and large multinational organisations, as well as in emerging companies. More recently, Margarita has specialised in working with tech startups and has developed extensive domain knowledge around the unique needs of software-as-a-service, data and FinTech companies.

James Andrew-Smith

Chief Information Officer

James Andrew-Smith is Chief Information Officer for Identitii. He brings a wealth of experience developing innovative technology systems in both corporate and start-up environments and is instrumental in driving the success of blockchain as a way to solve issues associated with bank and corporate financial messaging. James has significant experience in developing distributed systems and databases and is responsible for ensuring Identitii’s systems and processes stand up to the needs of complex organisations.

Mark Garvie

Chief Commercial Officer

Mark Garvie is Chief Commercial Officer at Identitii, where he drives the commercial and go-to-market strategy for the company. Mark has a proven track record of building and growing technology companies with a particular focus on the financial services industry. Having lived and worked in Hong Kong for most of his career, he is instrumental in supporting Identitii’s local, regional and global clients, and in driving the company’s growth both within Asia Pacific and the rest of the world.

Clare Rhodes

Chief Marketing Officer

Clare Rhodes is Chief Marketing Officer at Identitii. She has spent her career helping financial services and technology companies in the U.S., UK, Asia and Australia take advantage of growth opportunities and reach their full potential. Clare’s international experience and focus on financial services and technology is helping drive Identitii’s go-to-market and growth plans both locally and globally.

Elliot Shepherd

Chief Technology Officer

Elliot Shepard is Chief Technology Officer at Identitii. Elliot is a passionate and proactive programmer focused on designing elegant solutions to complex problems. He spearheads Identitii’s membership of the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance and brings with him significant experience in designing critical systems for financial services organisations and corporates. He was also previously lead architect at Ninja Blocks, a leading IoT start-up acquired by AGL and helped build the first flight & hotel meta-search engines at wego.com.

Layla Bates

Head of People and Culture

Layla Bates is the Head of People and Culture at Identitii. Layla is responsible for Identitii’s most important asset – it’s people. With a rapidly expanding employee base, Layla’s focus is on attracting new talent, while engaging and developing the Identitii team. She is vital to creating a workplace that enables Identitii to scale, while retaining the culture that has made it so successful to date. Layla brings a wealth of experience in recruitment and people leadership across multiple industries, geographies, and types of businesses.

Michael Aston

Chairman

Mike Aston is the Chairman of Identitii. He is an experienced senior executive and FinTech entrepreneur, with significant experience in advising financial services organisations on managing transformation within the payments landscape. Mike’s international career has seen him build and lead fast growing global technology businesses such as Distra, which was sold to ACI Worldwide in 2012, which he helped build into one of the leading next generation payments applications worldwide. He has held a number of executive and board positions with both large global corporates and start-up organisations and is a member of the Australian Institute of Directors. Mike received a NSW Pearcey Award for Entrepreneurship in 2013 and is an engineering and business graduate.

Peter Lloyd

Non-Executive Director

Peter Lloyd is a non-executive director of Identitii. He has a wealth of experience in advising companies in the information technology sector as they move through rapid growth and expansion. Peter has held a number of executive and board positions at large and small technology focused organisations, helping them take advantage of market opportunities and achieve growth potential. Peter is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Martin Rogers

Non-Executive Director

Martin Rogers is a non-executive director of Identitii. Martin is the Chief Investment Officer of KTM Ventures Innovation Fund LP. He is an experienced investor and company director and has a depth of experience in incubating both private companies and publicly listed organisations, with a particular focus on the financial services and life sciences industries. Martin has chemical engineering and computer science degrees from the University of New South Wales.
